Risk and Compliance

IXM’s Risk department assists the traders and management in understanding and mitigating performance related trading risks.

Our Risk professionals take ownership of policy and system implementation.

They conduct analysis and audit in relation to the market and credit risk functions.

Meanwhile, our Compliance team ensures that the industry standards on transparency, environmental requirements and human rights are complied with both at IXM and throughout its supply chain.

Our Compliance team also implements policies on anti-bribery and corruption and monitors our supply chain to mitigate any issues that could lead to financial or material loss for the company.

Some of the main skills we are looking for:

  • Ability to analyze financial statements and assess transactional and corporate risk
  • Able to make decisions and work independently
  • Knowledge of various economic sanctions regimes
  • Awareness of (general or metals sector specifically) guidelines on responsible sourcing practices: OECD, ICMM, World Bank, UN
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Working knowledge of trade finance risk mitigation tools
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation and organization skills
